Welcome to
Chestnuthill Township

Chestnuthill Township was incorporated in September of 1763. It is a township of the second class; its population as of the 2010 census was 17,156. It has 36.5 square miles and 23,349 acres. There are 150 miles of township roads.

The township is governed by a Board of Supervisors consisting of three members, all elected for six year terms, one term expiring every two years on December 31.

The present board is: Chuck Gould, Chairman; Dave Fleetwood, Vice Chairman and Chris Eckert, Supervisor.

Some of their responsibilities include making appropriations, adopting a budget, levying taxes, and adopting resolutions to make rules and regulations.

The board solicitor is Joseph P. McDonald, Jr. The Board meets on the first and third Tuesdays of each month at 7:00 p.m. at the Municipal Building, Route 715, Brodheadsville.
