Chestnuthill Township Zoning Department 

The Township adopted a Zoning Ordinance and Map September 26, 2000 (Updated as of 2015). This ordinance regulates the use, intensity of use, size and location of buildings, and other structures, as well as establishing regulations for land use by trades, industry, recreation, and public activities. The provisions of the ordinance address all use of property, whether commercial or residential, including, but not limited to buildings, fences, sheds, garages, signs, swimming pools, and in-home professional offices. Employment Responsibilities:  The responsibilities as Zoning and Planning Assistant include receiving and documenting phone messages and in-person inquiries, as well as examining applications for completeness, which are required by the Chestnuthill Township Zoning Ordinance. They also help to prepare Notice of Violations to any person, firm, or corporation violating any provisions of the ordinance and maintains detailed records of all applications, permits, certificates, variances, reports, notices and inspections.
They also assist in management of the Comment Tracker.
